Meet Cara
Registered Psychotherapist
Cara is a Registered Psychotherapist who believes therapy should feel like a safe place to slow down, feel heard, and make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface. She works with teens and adults, taking a compassionate, collaborative approach that meets each person exactly where they are.
Cara is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges while building a stronger sense of trust in themselves. Her work supports individuals experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, depression, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, relationship and communication difficulties, boundary setting, people-pleasing, self-esteem concerns, and pregnancy and postpartum changes.
Her approach is integrative and grounded in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all path to feeling better. Cara draws from narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment-based approaches, while incorporating practical, evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT. Together, she and her clients explore their experiences, build practical skills, and create meaningful changes that can carry into everyday life.
At the heart of Cara’s work is helping people trust themselves more fully. Whether that means learning to set healthier boundaries, communicate more openly, manage difficult emotions, navigate a major life transition, or quiet the anxious voice in your head, Cara offers a calm and supportive space to figure it out together.
Outside of her clinical work, Cara enjoys spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, and embracing the beautiful (and sometimes messy!) balance of family life and personal growth.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through the door. Cara is here to meet you where you’re at, listen without judgement, and help you find a path forward.
